Holohan Leisure will work with sporting organisations or club committees to assist them with submitting any grant applications to the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport. Holohan Leisure will advise clients on:
- How to complete the application form correctly
- The compulsory documentation required
- The type and scale of facilities which are eligible for funding
- How to prioritise the elements requiring funding
This Sports Capital Programme aims to foster an integrated and planned approach to developing sports and physical recreation facilities throughout the country. Sports Capital Programme Grant applications have been secured for a variety of clubs and organisations for works including: artificial pitches, floodlighting, dressing rooms, sports equipment, sport halls etc.
Local Authority Swimming Pools Programme for various Local Authorities throughout the country (applications are currently closed for this programme)
Grants for energy upgrading and enhanced disabled access for various Local Authorities for works including: Automatic Doors, Upgrade of carpark and pavement, Alterations to existing changing rooms, toilets and showers to the 2010 Part M guidelines, wind turbine, induction loop and Braille signage.
Holohan Leisure formed part of the project team to build “Ireland’s first 50m pool” at the University of Limerick and co-ordinated a grant application to the government which resulted in IR£6,000,000 being secured for the project.
Holohan Leisure worked with Dublin City Council to secure grant funding of €1,000,000 towards the dry sports facilities in the Swan Leisure Centre in Rathmines.
Youghal Town Council working with Holohan Leisure recently secured €400,000 to fund a wind turbine as part of their energy upgrade works at the Aura Youghal Leisure Centre.
